GAZelle GAZ 3302

La Gazelle van is a series of medium capacity trucks with engines inside thetruck components, which are available as vans and passenger buses. They are built by Russian automaker GAZ. The Gazelle series is similar to the latest models of light trucks loading and vans GAZ-2215 / Sobol GAZ-2752 and GAZ-3310 Valdai. Gazelle, to Sobol, and Valdai with which had in mind to improve the brand penetration in this contested segment in the Russian commercial vehicle market, one of the best and most-ranked products in the GAZ plant so far.
On 20 July 1994, the production of the series began as GAZ-3302. On the same platform the chassis for various superstructures, flatbed, van, minibus or minibuses with a payload up to 1.5 tonnes were produced. The curb weight is given as 2650-2800 kg. Front disc brakes were fitted with floating caliper Lucas. The drive took over the 4-cylinder petrol engine UMP 4,215 with 2890 cc and 65 kW (89 hp) or 70 kW (96 hp) or the 4-cylinder petrol engine ZMZ-402 from GAZ Volga produced models with 72 kW (98 hp). In addition, there was Steyr Motors developed GAZ-560 diesel engine with 2134 cc and 70 kW (95 hp), later turbocharged to 81 kW.
In June 1995 a small series was first made with all-wheel drive and the first time there were LPG conversions, since the consumption of the engine was very high. At the same time followed the GAZ-33023 as a combi / vans for up to five passengers and 1000 kg as a so-called GAZelle Bauer for more attractive introductory price.
