Best The Next Porsche 911 GT3 Will Have

The GT3 even managed to sneak in for a couple of photos… finally!

The glorious new 911 R only has one transmission option: A fantastic six-speed manual. Many are viewing it as Porsche making a concession to those that were upset there was no option of a manual in the new 911 GT3. At the Geneva Motor Show, Porsche's head of GT cars, Andreas Preuninger, confirmed that the next 911 GT3 will get a manual gearbox option, and it will be the six-speed from the 911 R.
In, Preuninger confirmed that the GT3 will get a stick shift while the GT3 RS will remain PDK-only. He also said that the GT cars will remain naturally aspirated for the foreseeable future.
Well, all of them, except the upcoming 911 GT2. Preuninger also confirmed that his team is working on a new GT2, which he says is not a widowmaker but is tough to control. Just what we'd expect.
Look for the GT2 to be one of the next new models that Porsche's GT division unveils for the 911, and we'd imagine it'll be unbelievably powerful.
