Wonderfull 2016 Lexus IS 200t Sedan

Hyundai Genesis

Build Quality (vs. $)
B
Other than the steering wheel leather that looks and feels like wrinkled skin by the thumb holds, this interior is done well. The seats have quality stitching and all contact surfaces are soft with tight panel fitments and solid door seals.
Features(vs. $)
B
Lexus offers equipment bundles that are grouped and priced more palatably than BMW and have more content than Audi. Mercedes-Benz comes close but carries a slightly higher premium, and only Lexus features keyless entry/ignition standard.
Cost
B
At a base MSRP of $38,265 the IS 200t comes in just slightly below competitor base models including the BMW 328i and Mercedes-Benz C300. Only the front-drive Audi A4 is more affordably priced starting at $36,825.
MPG
C
With a combined EPA rating of 26 mpg (22 city/33 highway) the IS can't quite match the M-B C300 (25 city/34 highway) or BMW 328i (23 city/35 highway) in efficiency. We saw 24.6 mpg on average and 27.9 mpg on our highway heavy drive loop.
Warranty
B
Lexus offers a 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty which is comparable to others, but its 6-year/70,000-mile drivetrain coverage is better than most.
Ownership
B
Lexus offers roadside assistance for 4 years/50,000 miles and covers the first two scheduled maintenances. BMW, however, covers all regular maintenance for 4 years/50,000 miles.
B
Fun To DriveThe old IS250 with the tiny V-6 was a snooze fest. The IS 200t is not. Turning off the electronic aids unlocks a handful of fun, dynamic possibilities. It'll do a burnout and even slide around a corner with some coercion. lt's a car that can excite and thrill with enough intention.
Driving Experience
B
Sport mode and higher ESC limits provide enough liberties to have some fun, granted you opt into the summer tires. A lack of front end grip and steering feel through corners are all that really hold the IS 200t back from sport sedan status.
Personality
B
The IS feels like it's hungry for some performance street cred, but is afraid to stray too far from its finishing school roots. We're not sure what this sedan is trying to be, but we like the new vigor that's starting to shine through.
