Wonder Ful 2016 Lexus IS Review

2016 Lexus CT Hybrid: Front View

The 2016 Lexus IS doesn't quite match the sporty driving dynamics of some rivals, but its upscale interior and comfortable ride are appealing, reviewers say.
Performance Summary
Test drivers agree that the 2016 Lexus IS 200t's turbocharged four-cylinder engine provides more than enough power to satisfy most drivers. Its available V6 engine delivers even peppier acceleration, reviewers say. A modified V6 engine is also available with all-wheel drive models. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard, and a few auto writers think it's well-matched to the base engine. A six-speed automatic transmission comes with all-wheel drive models.
With an EPA-estimated 22/33 mpg city/highway, the IS 200t's fuel economy estimates are a little low for the class. Automotive journalists are pleased with the Lexus IS' accurate steering and say its ride is composed and feels comfortable over road imperfections. Still, test drivers point out that around fast corners, the IS isn't quite as sporty as some rivals.
Auto writers say the 2016 Lexus IS' interior is handsomely styled and outfitted with high-quality materials at all trim levels. Front seats are comfortable and supportive, and the back seats have good room for a pair of adults, reviewers say.
The 2016 Lexus IS comes with a moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, Bluetooth, iPhone integration with Siri voice recognition, an eight-speaker stereo, a 7-inch display screen, satellite radio and two USB ports. Options include navigation with Lexus' Remote Touch controller, a rearview camera, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic pre-collision braking, a 15-speaker Mark Levinson surround-sound audio system and a one-year trial subscription to Lexus Enform Remote, which allows you to use a smartphone app to remotely control the car’s climate settings, as well as start, lock and unlock the car. Most automotive journalists think the Remote Touch controller's cursor is difficult to manipulate on the screen, but a few think the controller is fairly easy to use. Most reviewers agree that the IS' other dashboard controls, like the touch-sensitive climate controls, are straightforward. With a trunk measuring 13.8 cubic feet, the Lexus IS has a good amount of space for a small car.
